Bibliophile

Jesse claims he will kill me if I buy anymore knitting books, but I really can't help myself. I bought Nicky Epstein's Knitting over the Edge, and I'm craving Knitting on the Edge, Nicky Epstein's Knitted Embellishments (all those knitted leaves!) and her not-out-yet book of knitted flowers.
I just got Handknit Holidays, and I am in love. I also bought Color Works. It makes colors make a lot more sense.

I have so many projects that I want to start. And so many ideas in my head for designs. But I have to finish my sister's wrap. I have to. I have about 300 rows left.
And I still need to finish my Branching Out scarf and my bra. Those are easy projects, no reason to be left on the needles. But then, knitting is my comfort, so I refuse to put too much pressure on myself.
But I do have to finish the wrap before I buy any new project yarn.

Here's the cable detailing. You can see where the fabric pulls. No good. Still, I was pretty proud of them. Am still proud of them.

So my blog is oh so much rougher than I'd really like it to be. I'm trying to relearn html so that I can get a basic format that I like. Right now, I'd mostly like to use this as an easy way to show some people my knits (and attention-span willing, some embroidery), specifically Sean and Kate, as one is in England and I'll possibly be doing business with the other. But also, I need a place to talk about knitting. I think the boys have nearly had their fill.

I should probably work more on my sister's wrap. The plan was to have it done in about a week. That was about 3 weeks ago. It was warm today anyway.

I believe these were my second project. I was trying to learn to knit in the round on dpns. I could improve on them a whole lot, but all things considered, I think they turned out all right. I suppose it was also my first knitware design.
